New MacBook Pro

Apple got around to releasing their updated MacBook Pro’s. The specs are on Apple's website. We see quad core CPU’s and new ATI graphics on the 15" and 17" models. Everything else is relatively the same (no rumoured MacBook Air-like SSD on board) except for one thing. Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt is what used to be called “Light Peak”.  A new high speed connection for external drives and or video signals. Not many devices around that you can use it with just yet, and looks the same as a Mini Display port connector. In fact, it is the same connector, but don’t worry, the new tech allows you to daisychain up to 6 devices so you will still be able to connect your Cinema Display at the same time as your external drives.
